6 months after my arrival to the Netherlands: the balance

Hi! I am a Master’s student of Business Administration with specialization in Entrepreneurship, at FEWEB. After my Bachelor in Economics and 4 years of working experience, I felt the desire to obtain more Management in-depth knowledge within a different culture. Since VU University Amsterdam is recognized for its high research and teaching quality, and with the prospect of obtaining a valuable English-speaking Master in a pragmatic culture, my choice was obvious: it is time to move to the Netherlands.

I am here for 6 months and it seems I as if I just arrived yesterday: time flies when you are well integrated. The friendliness of the University staff combined with a relaxed teaching atmosphere is a good start. Additionally, students are given great independence to perform their assignments and subjects: you are responsible for your own success!

However, life is more than studies: the dorm where I live (Uilenstede) has very good conditions and provides regular contact with other international students: parties, sports, casual dinners … several activities where you can learn more from other cultures.

And of course… the beautiful and cozy Amsterdam… hard not to fall in love with it. I guess you have to come and find it for yourself!
