Experienced 11-11-11 last weekend?

St. Martin’s Day, Sustainability Day or just a Dalindromic Date? Did you know that according to the Legend, this roman solider (Martin) cut his cloak in half to save a beggar from a snowstorm, preventing him from dying of the cold? ‘Tourist Saves the World’ offers you an exciting, interactive and adventurous City Tour: you’ll visit Amsterdam, explore its’ beautiful monuments and contribute to the Dutch society at the same time. How? You will get a pick&mix with several routes, touristic attractions and world saving activities to perform on your way. You can choose whatever you want to do, all activities are optional.

Tourist Save The WorldThere is a list of 60 world saving activities. Many of these are being facilitated by idealistic organizations and NGO’s: the foundations We Tap Water, Present, Art of Living, Food Bank and much more. For instance, you will be able to help the homeless by serving soup, hand out flowers to 10 friendly strangers, thank an official on duty or do some guerilla gardening by planting flower seeds.

So, would you like to have fun, explore Amsterdam and perform some ‘good deeds’? The next possibility to join ‘Tourist Save the World’ is from the 17th until the 31st of December 2011. During this time, it’s possible to do the tour every day for 5 € per person.
